The Beach Family from Scotland

It’s funny how we find each other in this world. For example: Jon Beach of Loch Ness, Scotland, contacted me a few weeks ago ahead of a family trip to San Francisco about doing family photos. He found my site years ago after the birth of his first daughter, Erin, now 11, when he wanted to buy her domain name, which I already owned. I’m amazed he remembered to look me up, but I guess my name is never very far removed from his mind. So I got to photograph another Erin Beach and meet an amazingly sweet family. I haven’t met many people from Scotland, but if they are all as adorable and kind as this family we might have to make a trip there soon.

This Beach family owns a whisky bar, restaurant, and bed & breakfast. Stop in if you ever visit Loch Ness: http://maltwhiskybar.com

Happy 2013

Wow, 2012 was a great year! I found myself a bit deluged with all the work but now happy to be somewhat caught up and able to post some photos.

Yardley and Jason had a sweet, elegant wedding at the Fairmont San Francisco. Yardley — I love your fun facial expressions!

Lisa and Jordan married at Hidden Villa

A bride chasing a chicken is pretty fantastic. And so it was at Jordan and Lisa’s fun, lovely, relaxed and casual wedding day. Here in Los Altos Hills, the guests also mingled with sheep and goats. And I’ve never seen so many kids at a wedding — there were like 25 high chairs lined up when we arrived. Did I mention fun??

Wedding Photo Tip:  For beautiful images have all your guests make a 15-minute walk from cocktail hour to the reception as the sun in going down.

Jordan - Thanks so much for capturing our day Erin! It was such a pleasure to work with you and we are thrilled with the results.

Allyson Ritger - Such stunning photos. Wow! You are super talented, Erin.

Andy Kosinski - Didn’t go to the wedding (I know Jordan) but that chicken photo is an all time great!

Marge - Fabulous photos, extraordinary wedding, very special couple.

Reza and Nicole’s Virgin America-inspired wedding

This wedding really soared. On a day when the temperatures in Calistoga hit 93 degrees, guests were treated to a wonderful, elegant wedding, plus a creative reception inspired by the groom’s affinity for Virgin America. The outdoor ceremony was brief but beautiful, with event and floral design by Waterlily Pond Design Studio. But then things got really hot once the party moved inside to the cool, air conditioned ballroom at Solage. Love was definitely in the air on this night.

JH - Fabulous photos!! Looks like it was an amazing wedding and party!!

julie lawlor - Congratulations! Wishing the both of you all the happiness in the world. Cousin, you looked stunning on your special day! Everythig looked just perfect! Thaks for sharing your pictures.
